Lifestart is running a Transition to School group program in the October school holidays, aiming to develop the child’s confidence and skills in transitioning, group time, attention and listening, fine motor and self-care skills.

Structure of the group

The program includes three face-to-face group sessions at our Turramurra office running from 10am – 12pm on the following dates:

• Tuesday October 8th
• Wednesday October 9th
• Thursday October 10th

These three sessions are attended by the child with their parent or carer.

In addition, there is an online parent/carer webinar (held at a later date to be confirmed).

The parent/carer webinar aims to develop the parent or carer’s understanding of how to best prepare and support their child for this transition. The group will be facilitated by an Occupational Therapist and/or a Speech Pathologist. Facilitator numbers will depend on how many participants register.

Optional: Individual follow up session with a group facilitator (billed separately). An opportunity to reflect on the group and consider next steps moving forward.

Cost: $872.96 (includes all three face-to-face sessions and online webinar, and can be paid for using an NDIS plan)
