Lifestart has reviewed the measures we put in place in March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
From 20 July 2020, we will resume a limited and staged return to face to face services.
We know that many of our clients and their families/carers want face to face supports to resume. Lifestart wants to be able to offer the services our clients want and in a way that best suits their needs.
Lifestart is limiting face to face supports at this time so we can continue to minimise, as far as possible, the risk of our staff and clients contracting the virus. The virus is still circulating in the community and as we have seen over the past week in Victoria, there is a real risk of further outbreaks. Many of the children and young people we support have other health concerns and may be more vulnerable to contracting COVID-19.
Lifestart is considering a range of ways we can provide our services and remain connected with the people we support. It is likely that we will offer a mixture of services which may include online via phone or videoconferencing and/or face to face. Our staff will be talking to families/carers about the combination of services that may be available to them.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and respond appropriately. For further updates as they become available, please check our website regularly or follow us on Facebook.
