It has been two years since Lifestart first partnered with Bathurst Early Childhood Intervention Service (BECIS) to provide support to young children with a disability and developmental delay.
At the time, a shortage of allied health staff in Bathurst meant that the waiting times for early intervention, therapy and specialised behaviour services were long, and families/carers were not able to access supports in a timely way.
Lifestart staff now connect with children and families online for therapy and specialised behaviour supports. We are seeing some fantastic outcomes for children and families and the collaboration between Lifestart and BECIS has been an incredible experience for both teams.
