Would they benefit from working on specific areas to build their confidence and skills for this transition?

Lifestart is running a transition to school group in the January school holidays, aiming to develop not only your child’s confidence and skills, but also yours, as you learn about this process and how to best support your child as they prepare for school. The group will be facilitated by an Occupational Therapist and/or a Speech Pathologist. Facilitator numbers will depend on how many participants register.

Group sessions will include

• Learning how to participate in group time
• Following routines
• Supporting attention and listening
• Supporting regulation and transitions
• Sharing and turn taking
• Following instructions
• Fine motor skills
• Self care skills

Structure of the group

3 x 2 hour face to face group sessions at our Baulkham Hills office from 9am – 11am:

• Monday January 20th
• Tuesday January 21st
• Wednesday January 22nd

1 x online parent/carer webinar (date to be confirmed).

Optional: Individual follow up session with a group facilitator (billed separately). An opportunity to reflect on the group and consider next steps moving forward.

Cost: $1018.45 – $872.96 depending on the number of participants (you can use your NDIS plan, IDL budget)
