October 6 is World Cerebral Palsy Day. As cerebral palsy affects more than 17 million people worldwide, the theme this year is ‘Millions of Reasons’ – every person with cerebral palsy is a reason to strive for change.
Lifestarts supports the vision of World Cerebral Palsy Day to ensure that children and adults with cerebral palsy have the same rights, access and opportunities as anyone else in our society.
For children with cerebral palsy to be included, there are six main factors to address: function, family, fitness, friends, fun and the future.
World Cerebral Palsy Day has created this poster about what each of these factors means: ‘My Favourite Words’ poster
Take a look at the poster and learn more about how the six F’s can lead to greater inclusion for children with cerebral palsy.
