Well! What a year it has been, one full of challenges and opportunities. We have maintained our commitment to providing services using our inclusive rights based and person/family centred approach, with COVID-19 making us work even more flexibly. We can say with pride that this year we have emerged from a surviving organisation to a thriving sustainable stronger one.

Our Lifestart Team is committed to delivering quality supports to our clients and delivering on our mission. Our highly skilled and experienced specialist staff are ably supported by a strong cohort of administrative and corporate staff. This year we have supported over 10,000 children, young people and their families and carers, as well as providing supports to a number of mainstream and disability services.

I particularly want to thank all the Directors who so willingly made themselves available for many phone calls and extra meetings. We are humbled by your commitment to serve.

And speaking of commitment to serve, I offer our heartfelt thanks for the sterling job done by our CEO, Suzanne Becker, and the senior management team.

We delighted in joining in celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Steggles Sydney Roosters Charity Nest. We greatly appreciate the generosity of all our philanthropic and pro bono partners. We could not achieve what we do without their support. We also thank those individuals who make a unique contribution to Lifestart in a variety of ways.

We acknowledge the support of our government funders.

Lifestart continues to be a recognised industry leader in the provision of services. Working differently and innovatively, we have risen to the occasion. The lessons we have learned during the pandemic have been profound and will have a robust and lasting impact on Lifestart’s future and our ability to support people to lead a fully inclusive life.

With many thanks to all.

Kathryn Greiner AO
Chair
