Recently, Lifestart hosted students from Macquarie University completing a Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) placement at our Head Office in Sydney Olympic Park.
Olivia and Sara are currently studying and expressed an interest in learning more about work within the disability sector. A PACE placement provides students with the opportunity to get some “on the job” experience, meet professionals working in the sector and learn more about working with children living with disability and their families.
Olivia and Sara worked closely with teams to provide some much-needed support for staff in our branches. They made resources we can share with families at upcoming events and expos. attended playgroups and updated information for projects. They have made a valuable contribution in the time they have been on placement and we look forward to having more students working alongside our staff in the future.
