Recently, Lifestart’s physiotherapists from across our services streams came together for a day of professional development and team networking. Staff listened to a number of presentations on key topics of interest such as assistive technology and muscular dystrophy.
The event was a great opportunity for staff to learn from families and young people with disabilities about how they would like to be supported and how Lifestart can respond to the individual needs an aspirations of young people accessing services. One invited guest, Ellen, spoke about her current interests and goals for the future around independence, whilst her mother stressed the importance of working collaboratively with families.
