Location(s):

Employment:

  • Part-time 12 month contract, working 4 days a week (Norther/Western)
  • Part time 12 month contract, working 3 days a week (Inner West/Eastern/Southern Sydney)

Level of Experience:


  • University qualifications in Early Childhood/Special Education that are recognised by the NSW Department of Education.
  • 3-4 years relevant experience as an educator.

Location:

Permanent part-time positions, working 22.8 hours week.

Level of Experience:


  • Experience in assisting with the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups.
  • Experience in assisting with the implementation of strategies to support children and young people to reach their NDIS goals, under the direction of teaching and therapy staff.
  • Ability to work sensitively and empathically with families and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and complex needs
  • Ability to work in alignment with organisational and government policy directions
  • Demonstrated ability participating in the exchange of knowledge and skills among team members.
  • Equivalent to TAFE Certificate III in relevant studies, and/ or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A current driver’s licence and use of own car

  •  Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in discipline-specific direct service provision.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilising positive behaviour support frameworks to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
  • Solid experience working collaboratively with children and young people with disability, their families, and carers.
  • Experience in contributing to Restricted Practice Authorisation panels.
  • Well developed knowledge of person-centred approaches within family-centred practice.
